Gulf Breeze Landscaping Project The Blue Dolphin

Our customer wanted to have a pool installed in his backyard and an outdoor living space. He had a local architect design the project, but it was way over his price range. The Wallace Company put together a design and proposal with all the desired amenities within his budget.

To overcome the sloping backyard, an Anchor Highland Stone Retaining Wall was utilized. It is a 6″ block with 3 different sizes to avoid graph-like lines when installed properly.

Pool Designs of Florida installed the gunite pool and we suggested a Tremron Hardscapes product called Bluestone for the pool decking as well as the walkways leading to the Anchor Highland Stone Fire Pit. Bluestone has the look of natural stone that the client wanted without the cost associated with travertine. It also has 3 block sizes and looks amazing! We tied it all together with a paver pool coping also from Tremron.

All pavers were installed following ICPI guidelines, 4″- 6″ compacted base, polymeric joint sand in all joints.

We redesigned and installed a new Rain Bird irrigation system. The client wanted a “smart” controller that can be monitored remotely as well as reading and reacting to local weather data provided through a wifi internet connection. Quite ingenious and very “green”.

After weeks of hard work, tons of dirt, a new drainage system as well as being accented by Alliance low voltage, LED landscape lights, the custom designed transformation was complete. The end result is nothing short of stunning. The client was now ready to enjoy (day and night) their fantastic backyard investment.
